Interior pocket with zipper to organize and protect your valuables.

Shop Update: Linen Dish Towels

Fresh off the sewing machine: new dish towels for sale in the shop!

This over-sized linen dish/tea towel is ready to lend you a hand in the kitchen.

A ribbon is sewn into the hem so it can be hung from a hook.

The entire towel is printed with inky-lined plaid pattern in red, navy, periwinkle and cream.

The print reminds me of a house we used to stay in on Cape Cod. The entire bottom floor was red/white & blue and probably hadn't been touched since the 1960's.

Towel measurement approximately: 20" x 30"
100% cotton linen

Machine wash cold & dryer safe. The towel will become softer and more absorbent after a few uses.

Skip the Email Once in a While

My friend Colleen and I had an idea for a greeting card company back in 2004. It never amounted to much, but we did enjoy calling business meetings, making lists, and discussing our future millions over beer at Sweet Ups (I think that explains why the business never took off).

Just as well, there are so many great stationary designers out there:

A Tiny Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year - a no-stress holiday, lots of delicious food & quality time with the family. Why not celebrate Thanksgiving all year round with a collection of miniature food? (You might have to do this in secret because it's going to look pretty weird to your friends.)

I recently got into creating Treasuries on Etsy, but the problem is that I haven't been able to publish them because the Treasury limit is always maxed out.

I hope to still publish what I have on, but for now I'll just post here on Wicked Mint.

Mug Shots

I love coffee mugs. I especially covet vintage Fire King mugs. I'm also very particular about shape. I prefer an oval shape that allows me to tuck my thumb into the handle and wrap my hand around the body of the mug.

(Wow, I'm seriously channeling Andy Rooney today. Let's just roll with it.)

I also don't really like clear glass mugs - it makes me feel weird to use them for hot drinks.

Pedestal mugs are very nice to look at, but I'm afraid they are going to tip over and they aren't as comfortable to hold.

I'm not a big fan of kitschy coffee mugs, such as ones that say "Number 1 Dad" or ones that describe your zodiac sign, but there are exceptions to all rules.

Get a Handle On It

Um, I just went a little nuts and bought a whole bunch of vintage drawer pulls from this fantastic ETSY shop Violetteslippers. Some already have pieces of furniture assigned to them, but others will be saved for future projects.

I owe my impulse purchases to Kate over at For Me, For You.
